Gates Garden Centres Expands

Located just 4 miles from Oakham in Cold Overton, Gates Garden Centre attracts visitors from miles around, and every time we pay a visit is has grown in size!

In the past few weeks, Gates Garden Centre have extended further to include a large farm shop with the focus being on offering the finest locally sourced produce, complemented by the best from national producers.

The shop features a large butchery by Hambleton Farms. The meat comes from a small, select group of farmers, with beef and lamb also being supplied from stock bred and raised on the Gates own farm in Cold Overton. Other departments include a deli selling handmade pies, cooked meats, scotch eggs, olives and charcuterie; a cheese counter; an artisan bakery with bread from Hambleton Bakery; a wide range of seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables; craft beers, wines and spirits; locally prepared and frozen, high quality ready meals; and a self-service dispensary featuring artisan oils and vinegars and a granola bar.

Suppliers include Hambleton Farms, Hambleton Bakery, Two Birds Gin, Lincolnshire Drizzle Co, Wilcox Bakery Cakes, Punjaban Curry, Brentingby Gin, Manor Farm Dairy, Local PrOganic Organic Milk, and Two Chimps Coffee.

The farm shop is open from 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday, and 11am to 5pm on Sundays. On Bank Holidays they are open from 9am to 5pm (closed over Christmas and Easter).
