With the evenings drawing in and the temperatures dropping, Christmas will be here before we know it! Christmas is a lovely time of the year in Rutland and the independent, boutique shops in Oakham, Uppingham and Stamford make the area a great place to pick up a more unusual and thoughtful gift.
Christmas Markets in Rutland 2024
The Rutland Big Christmas Market, 15 – 17th November 2024, at the Barnsdale, Rutland. Adults £5.
Burghley Christmas Fair: Thursday 28th November 2024 to Sunday 1st December 2024. The region’s largest Christmas Fair, with over stalls offering everything from luxury gifts, artisan food and drink to Christmas decorations and winter clothing. Open from 9:30am – 4pm on Thursday and Sunday, and 9.30am to 7.30pm on Friday and Saturday. Adults £15. Tickets must be booked in advance and aren’t available on the door.
Rockingham Castle Victoria Christmas: 28th November 2024- 1st December 2024 and 5th 2024 – 8th December 2024 / 11am – 4pm
Uppingham Christmas Market: Thursday 5th December 2024, from 5.30pm.
Melton Mowbray Christmas Market: Friday 6th
Oakham Late Night Shopping: Monday 9th December 2024
