Osprey Chicks have hatched at Rutland Water!
It’s been a busy week on Rutland Water. The first Osprey chicks of the season hatched yesterday! 2 eggs hatched within a matter of hours of each other. Thankfully both chicks are doing well. You can see live footage of the Rutland Water Ospreys here: https://www.lrwt.org.uk/rutlandospreys
One of the best ways to see the Rutland Water Ospreys is on a cruise on the ‘big puddle’ on board the Rutland Belle. The Osprey Cruises leave from the North Shore of Rutland Water at Whitwell and last an hour and a half. There are evening and dawn cruises available. You will be joined on board by a member of the Rutland Osprey Project team and light refreshments are available.
The Cruises need to be booked in advance here https://www.lrwt.org.uk/events
