Stamford Georgian Festival Coming Soon!
I’ve just stumbled across a flyer for the Stamford Georgian Festival which takes place between 27th and 29th September 2013.
The event, which is organised by South Kesteven District Council in conjunction with Stamford Town Council and Burghley House, includes:
Two performances of children’s favourite Horrible Histories
Horse drawn carriage rides
A Georgian tea dance
Costumed performance of the town’s infamous Bull Run
Pride and Prejudice stage performance
Street fayre
Exotic animals
Arts and crafts
Punch & Judy
Story telling
Old fashioned children’s games
Drama at Browne’s Hospital Garden
The weekend also includes a Saturday Street Fayre combining craft and farmers’ market, period street performers, fairground rides, military re-enactment and a town crier.
