I thought I would share this photo I took on Sunday from the banks of Rutland Water. These crisp, sunny days by the reservoir in the autumn are some of my favourite and it’s a real treat that this view is just a short walk from Puddle Cottage. While it isn’t the ‘peak’ season, the bike hire, fishing lodge and sailing club are all open and the Rutland Belle is still running but the shores of the reservoir are much quieter.
