Cosy Drink in a Cosy Bar?

How about a cosy lunch or drink at the Cosy Club, Stamford?

If you are in Stamford and are looking for somewhere to eat, or maybe enjoy a drink after a wander around the town, then why not pop into the Cosy Club. Dominic and I popped in for a drink and a bite to eat last weekend and it really is worth a visit to see the old delivery office that it now occupies and our lunch was pretty good too!

Behind the honey-coloured stone walls of this old delivery office there is a surprisingly large, open-plan, industrial space that is split into separate bar & dining areas.

The bar area comprises of a mix of snugs & a roomy standing area, which is dominated by an impressive gin-palace-inspired bar painted in pillar box red (a nod towards the building’s former use) & a hugely impressive feature roof lantern, which floods the main trading area with masses of light. The look is completed with leather club chairs, sink-into sofas, Art Deco coffee tables, velvet pouffes, antler chandeliers, oil paintings & taxidermy.

… There’s an eclectic mix of reclaimed tables, old leather dining chairs, reclaimed railway waiting room benches, Victorian lampshades & Eastern European factory lights. The walls are adorned with mirrors, flags, banners & oil paintings.
