Burghley Horse Trials Starts Today

I can’t believe this year has gone by so quickly. Here I am typing and Burghley Horse Trials has started today – I can’t believe we are nearly into September. The dates for  Burghley Horse Trials has been announced for next year already as 5 – 8 September 2013.

If you are coming to the Burghley Horse Trials and are looking for self-catering accommodation close to Burghley, then Puddle Cottage could be for you. Puddle Cottage is situated in the village of Edith Weston and is just a short walk to south shore of Rutland Water, and Rutland Sailing Club and Rutland Fishing Lodge. The cottage is less than 10 miles away from Burghley House as well as being just 8 miles from the market towns of Oakham, Uppingham and Stamford so is perfectly positioned to explore all that Rutland has to offer. The cottage has just been awarded its 4 star status by Quality in Tourism.

The cottage, built in 1849, has been recently renovated and maintains the charm of a cottage but with the benefits of all the mod cons you would expect such as a large flat screen TV with DVD player and Freeview, as well as free WIFI and the all important dishwasher! The 4 star Puddle Cottage has one large bedroom which can be presented as one super-king size bed or two full sized single beds.  The cottage also welcomes well behaved dogs.

Whlist we already have some bookings for August 2013 next year already, we do have availability for that week but suggest that you book early as accommodation in the area does get booked up well in advance. The holiday cottage is available to rent for £400 for the week and the price includes all linen and towels, as well as kitchen essentials. A welcome pack is also provided on your arrival.
